THE BACKSTORY
Jess and Nate studied business together at Queen’s University. Although their program had only 250 students, they never shared any classes.
In 4th year, Jess moved into “the Beaverdam.” Nate would come over to hang out with Jess’ housemates and see a small, cute, funny, smart, athletic, kind (the list goes on) girl bopping around.
It was only a matter of time until Nate got the courage to ask Jess to hang out. Being the smart girl that she is, Jess agreed to meetup only after her last mid-term exam, not thinking it was a date. It just so happened that her last midterm landed on February 14th, which is why the day is now formally recognized as VALENVERSARY.
They immediately connected over their love of food, travel, and of course, Super Mario. Nate broke out the “dolphin riding the horse” dance move at Alfie’s, and the rest is history. They started their relationship with a six-week backpacking trip in Spain and haven’t stop exploring the world together since.
Yadda, yadda, yadda, 11 years later they went on a 48 hour trip across the pond and got engaged in a castle in Ireland…
Jess and Nate now live in NYC where they refuse to use their oven until they’ve tried every last restaurant on the island.
